GAGAP is a non-profit program, under African Immigrants Resources Center, in the Urban City of Philadelphia. It was developed out of a need within the Nigerian & African communities that demonstrates a need to assist, support families, and protect the female population.
Mission: GAGAP endeavors to eliminate period poverty and equip women to confront challenges during menstruation in Nigeria, the United States and other continents in the world.
Vision: GAGAP will help women maintain a healthy social norm of survival while providing for themselves and or any children. We will educate via GED training as well as hygiene and ministration, which will allow women to be economically stabilized.Gaining healthy relationships that allow stabilization and empowerment which will encourage women to ultimately reach their life goal (s). We will use one on one and group counseling sessions to get to the Heart of Matters that debilitates and cripples the mind and life style which prohibits individuals from seeing the need for change, GAGAP will ensure that women across the continent are stabilized and equipped to live out their life's spans
GAGAP services include a twice a year outreach feeding and providing LongRich SuperbKlean magnetic maxi-pads and other personal hygiene products while also providing counseling services in the United States and Nigeria, with hopes of providing education to encourage women to have a better hygiene, identity crisis and emergency services. In addition to providing bi-annual services overseas we assist families in our local community monthly.
